Inside Ryan’s New 3D Printing Store in Nazareth, Pennsylvania
When you walk past the intersection of South Broad Street in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, it’s hard to miss the small shop with its bustling window display—3D printers tirelessly at work, capturing the attention of passersby. This isn’t just any shop; this is Sutcliffe Designs 3D Print Factory, a newly opened 3D printing store that’s quickly becoming the heart of a growing community of creators, hobbyists, and curious onlookers.
The Idea Behind the Store
Five years ago, Ryan was just another enthusiast in the rapidly evolving world of 3D printing. As the technology grew from a niche hobby into a mainstream movement, Ryan noticed a gap—a need for a community space where people could truly explore 3D printing without the barriers of knowledge or faulty equipment.
Ryan’s vision wasn’t just to create a business but to build a community around 3D printing. He often heard stories from people at events—tales of printers gathering dust due to lack of knowledge or frustration with constant repairs. Others were intrigued by the concept but had no idea where to start. Ryan wanted to change that. “I wanted to give all these people a place to go,” he explains, “a place to learn, to experience 3D printing hands-on, and to get the assistance they need.”
Powering the Dream with Reliable 3D Printers
Bambu Lab’s printers, with their outstanding reliability and print quality, provided the perfect catalyst for Ryan’s vision. “I was looking for what’s next,” Ryan shares. “With Bambu Lab, I found machines that could do the work of ten older printers with better quality, speed, and reliability. It was a no-brainer to use them as the backbone of my 3D Print Factory.”
With his goal in mind, passion and dedication, Ryan decided it was time to open the doors to Sutcliffe Designs 3D Print Factory. A place to print objects, yes—but more than that, a space where everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned makers, can come to learn, create, and connect. Whether it’s helping someone repair a clogged nozzle or guiding a child through their first 3D print, Ryan is determined to creating a sanctuary for creativity and innovation.
A Space to Create and Connect
Though the shop is newly opened, Ryan has already hosted a variety of events, from kids’ birthday parties to workshops, each designed to engage and inspire. “This is a place where kids can do a hands-on activity and then have a souvenir they made to bring home,” Ryan explains. “We’ve had kids print and paint themed objects, assemble lamps, and even put together wireless computer mice using hardware kits.”
The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. “Even without a full grand opening, I’ve had people coming in to try out the printers and ask what we’re all about,” Ryan says. “People know me as the ‘3D printing guy’, and they’re excited about the shop.”
A Growing 3D Printing Community
Ryan’s journey is just the beginning. As more entrepreneurs and enthusiasts open their own 3D print shops, we’re seeing a vibrant community emerge, one that’s united by a passion for creativity, innovation, and sharing knowledge.
