Our 3D Printers Just Won Two Parenting Awards

The Bambu Lab P2S is a 2026 NAPPA winner, and Bambu Lab is a 2026 Parents’ Picks Awards winner in four categories. Here’s what parents had to say.

Our 3D Printers Just Won Two Parenting Awards
“We’ve been printing all kinds of things from photo holders to airplanes to fidget toys. It’s so much fun!”

That’s how one parent described their time with the Bambu Lab P2S. It came from a parent evaluator for the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA), and today we’re happy to share that the P2S is a 2026 NAPPA winner.

There’s more good news. Bambu Lab and our products have also been named 2026 Parents’ Picks Awards winners in four categories:

Awards that come from parents

What makes these two awards special to us is who’s behind them. NAPPA has recognized family products for 36 years, and its evaluators are parents, many of whom also work as educators, pediatric nurses, or child development experts. To win, a product has to pass NAPPA’s parent test: would they be comfortable using it with their own kids, would they buy it themselves, and is it well made and well designed?

Parents’ Picks Awards looks at more than 50 criteria, from thinking skills and engagement to ease of use, quality, and durability. Seeing Bambu Lab on their lists from elementary school all the way through high school means a lot to us.

What parents noticed

In their comments on the P2S, NAPPA’s evaluators talked about the things we care about most when someone sets up their first printer: clear setup instructions, an app that’s easy to find your way around, and printing that’s fast and quiet. They liked the fully enclosed print area and being able to combine several colors in one print. They also mentioned the big library of ready-to-print models to choose from and the option to design their own.

Making things together, right at home

We want 3D printing to be accessible to everyone, and families are a big part of that. A Bambu Lab printer turns screen time into hands-on creation. Younger kids can pick a design and choose the colors with a parent, then watch it take shape. Older kids and teens can learn 3D design and engineering, and some even use their printer to prototype and sell their own products.

Families tell us they use their printers for toys, school projects, costume pieces, custom gifts, and that board game piece that went missing years ago. If you need ideas, MakerWorld is full of ready-to-print designs made by our community, and you can always create your own.

Meet the P2S

The Bambu Lab P2S is an intuitive, high-speed 3D printer designed to bring creative family projects to life. It has a fully enclosed print area and is UL GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality when printing with select Bambu Lab filaments, such as PLA Basic and PLA Pure.

Setup is plug-and-play, bed leveling is automatic, and a 5-inch touchscreen walks you through each step. AI-powered error detection spots common print problems, and the built-in camera lets you check on a print from your phone in the Bambu Handy app. The P2S Combo adds the AMS 2 Pro, so you can print in multiple colors.

The P2S has also received Editor’s Choice awards from CNET, PCMag, and Tom’s Hardware, and The Strategist named the Bambu Lab A1 the best 3D printer for kids. The P2S Combo is available at bambulab.com for a retail price of $799 in the U.S.

Thank you

A big thank you to every parent and kid who put our printers to the test, and to NAPPA and Parents’ Picks Awards for the recognition. If you’re thinking about bringing 3D printing into your home this holiday season, we’d love to see what your family makes first.
