It’s happening quietly, 3D printing is reshaping everything in your life.
They're pretty ordinary, but they're real. "Why Print" doesn't have to be some fancy or grand reason; it's the little everyday moments.
Once you get your hands on a 3D printer, it’s not just a hobby—it’s a game changer. What starts as a fun project quickly turns into a tool you use every day, bringing ideas to life, nonstop. You might not even notice it, but 3D printing is quietly changing your life and the way you think.
"Why print?" and "How has Bambu's 3D printing changed your life?"—these are the voices from our community, sharing how 3D printing has made an impact on their everyday lives.
Mennox – a father of three and a passionate 3D printing enthusiast.
“Once I’ve finished a print, my next thought is... what’s my next project? I didn’t have the confidence to do larger prints on my old printer, but with the multiple plates in the slicer and faster print speeds, I’m now really excited to print larger items—though I think my wife might disagree, as we definitely don’t have enough space in the house to store them, haha.”
Why print? Fascinated by the endless possibilities of 3D printing, Mennox printing everything from small trinkets to imagining future 3D-printed habitats on Mars.
I've always been fascinated by the concept of 3D printing, creating a huge range of 3D objects from rolls of filament. We're already at the stage where houses are being 3D printed, but for me, the most exciting prospect is the potential to print bases/habitats on Mars or even the Moon... the possibilities are endless! So, being able to buy my first 3D printer in early 2021 was an exciting moment in my life. I mainly printed busts, lightsabers, and other small trinkets, and I also tried my hand at painting them. 3D printing is a hobby for me, and if I ever had the opportunity, I’d love to open a 3D printing store in my local area.
How has 3D printing changed Mennox's life? He's definitely scored a ton of brownie points from his wife. Being able to share the joy of 3D printing with his family? That’s a pretty heartwarming picture.
I just finished printing the Bambu Christmas Cabin, which will be displayed in the living room when the tree goes up. My wife approved it, so that's a win for more projects! Next, I plan to print some kitchen storage items and Christmas decorations (more brownie points!). After that, I'll move on to my next big project. I need to order more color filaments from the Bambu Store—at first, I was hesitant about refill spools (I have 5 extra), but now I think they're great, and I love the RFID tag the AMS scans. I'm really enjoying the Bambu ecosystem!
I just click print and get flawless quality every time! On my old printer, I had to print in one color and hand-paint the model. Now, I can load multiple colors into the AMS and let it print the model without painting—results are way better than my skills 😊. I also love the Bambu Studio slicer with multiple plates, making larger projects and multi-color prints much easier. This is where it truly changed things for me.
Gary – an engineer, has an A1 printer and uses it to print practical storage items that keep his life organized.
For him, 3D printing is all about turning ideas into reality fast and efficiently.
Why print? Because it is easy going from idea to prototype.
I've always liked building and creating things (both software and hardware) and 3D printing lets me be very efficient about it. I can go from idea to prototype in sometimes less than an hour and I'm only limited by my CAD skills!
How has Bambu's 3D printer changed Gary's life? No more worrying about prints—just more time for family.
It’s been very convenient because of its reliability and ease of use. I have a young son and limited time, so the fact that it works perfectly out of the box with almost no tweaking is great. Plus, it’s been super helpful for printing functional items that keep things tidy at home!
Petros, 16 years old, is a young and ambitious aspiring aerospace engineer with a passion for 3D printing and innovation.
His expectation for 3D printing is to be introduced more into space science.
"At my age, I’ve already designed functional CubeSats, printed them, and worked on projects that bring me closer to my dream of contributing to space exploration."
Why print? With every printed part being a piece of that dream coming to life. It's helping Petros take one step closer to his dream.
I print because it allows me, even at my young age, to experiment and innovate in the field of aerospace engineering—a field I’m deeply passionate about. 3D printing is a tool that transforms my ideas into real prototypes, from CubeSats to creative models that demonstrate engineering concepts. It gives me a platform to learn, create, and dream big as I prepare for a future career in space exploration.
How has Bambu's 3D printer changed Petros's life? Given him the confidence to tackle projects that once seemed beyond his reach at 16.
I bought my first 3D printer with my own savings, but it wasn’t a Bambu Lab one. It was one of those printers that needed constant tinkering. Eventually, I sold it and upgraded to an A1 mini. I recently used it to design and build parts for my CubeSat project, which I presented to some academic professionals who saw real potential in it.
The printer’s speed, precision, and reliability made it possible to turn my vision into something tangible and impactful. It’s really given me the confidence to take on projects I once thought were beyond my reach at my age. I’m excited to see 3D printers become more common and get more involved in space science.
